John Carter Wood founded Superyacht Tenders after more than 30 years in the marine industry, working across design, manufacturing, sales, marketing and management for some of the world's most prestigious marine brands. That span includes over a decade of building the Ribeye tender brand, the Dartmouth RIB specialist, alongside consulting roles with YCO, and Burgess.
Captivated by the sea from an early age, John turned a lifelong passion into a career dedicated to delivering some of the most unique and inspiring tenders and chase boats to clients around the world. He is known for his industry knowledge, his extensive network, and a client-focused approach that pairs commercial expertise with a genuine understanding of life on the water.
Away from work, John spends much of his time afloat or in the surf with family and friends, a true all-round waterman.

John's middle name, Carter, is a family one: he is related to the eighteenth-century Cornish seafarer John Carter of Prussia Cove. Three centuries on, the sea is still in the blood.
