About this tender
Wajer 44 HT - what we know.
The 44 HT is the build we ask Wajer for when an owner wants the full 44 package with the option to pull a sliding canvas roof over the cockpit without altering the hull's character. The distinction matters: the hardtop variant shares the same 13.10m hull, the same twin Volvo Penta IPS driveline, and the same sixteen-passenger CE-B certification as the open 44, but adds a composite and carbon-reinforced roof frame that tracks cleanly into the boat's raked silhouette. The roof panel itself is breathable, water-repellent canvas, not a rigid lid, so the weight penalty is minimal and the visual profile stays low.
Performance figures are quoted with the optional IPS 650 fitment: 38 knots top speed, 25 knots cruise, and a 300 nautical mile range from a 1,200-litre fuel tank. The general arrangement render also quotes 28 knots cruising and 320 nautical miles, which reflects a slightly different load or trim assumption; both figures originate from Wajer's own published materials. The standard engine fit is twin Volvo Penta IPS 500 D6-380hp units, with the IPS 650 D6-480hp pair as a factory option. A four-outboard Mercury V10 Verado 400hp configuration is also offered for owners who prefer an exposed transom.
Below deck the 44 HT carries a full-sized double berth, a galley with refrigerator, ice maker, and coffee machine, and a forward head with shower. The cockpit sofa seats eight comfortably and the table drops flush to the floor when more deck space is needed. Three carbon navigation chairs sit at the glass-bridge helm, which runs three flush-mounted touchscreens alongside the throttle and joystick. The Flexiteek decking is laid in a trademark Wajer pattern. We'd put this build alongside the better Italian yards on finish quality, at a price point that tends to surprise buyers coming from that direction.
