The 40 SuperSport is the build we ask Goldfish for when a programme needs genuine offshore speed without surrendering the cabin accommodation that longer passages demand. At 11.55m on the hull and 12.40m with engines, it sits in a useful gap: compact enough to consider for a tender garage on a larger mothership, yet long enough to carry two cabins and a fully configurable cockpit. The four-stepped 22-degree V hull is a direct evolution of the race-proven 36 P1 platform, retuned for twin outboard geometry and improved hydrodynamic efficiency.
The engine choice is straightforward. Goldfish offers three twin Mercury packages: the 300R for range-friendly efficiency, the 400R for a clear step up in top-end performance, and the 500R for owners who want the highest speed the hull will produce. Goldfish quotes a speed range of 64 to 87 knots across those options. Every configuration ships with a rear tie-bar as standard, which keeps tracking precise at the top of the speed envelope. The 600-litre fuel capacity is reasonable for the power on offer, though on the 500R package it will concentrate the range.
The cockpit is where the 40 SuperSport separates itself from a pure performance boat. Seating is fully configurable at order: two to six patrol seats for a performance-focused arrangement, or front and aft sofas for a comfort-led guest layout. Both cabin spaces are described as practical rather than token, with the front cabin given particular emphasis in the specification imagery. The optional Safari Top adds a carbon-covered aluminium frame for solar shade, with a textile canopy alternative available to close out wind and rain.

The hull geometry descends directly from the Goldfish 36 P1 race programme. Four planing steps reduce wetted surface at speed and improve lift efficiency, allowing the hull to reach the top of its 64-87 knot speed range without the weight penalty of a deeper-V offshore configuration.
Three twin-outboard packages give owners a genuine choice between efficiency, balanced performance, and maximum speed. A standard rear tie-bar is included across all configurations to maintain steering precision and lateral stability at high speed.
The cockpit accepts two to six patrol seats or front-and-aft sofa arrangements to match crew and mission. Two separate cabin spaces, front and rear, give the 40 SuperSport overnight or extended-passage capability that a pure performance open boat cannot offer.
A black aluminium frame with an optimised carbon panel provides lightweight solar shade without the visual bulk of a full hardtop. A textile canopy can replace or supplement the carbon cover, extending protection to wind and rain for cooler or more exposed programmes.
The 40 SuperSport is classified as CE Category B, Offshore, RIB type X. This covers offshore passages in significant wave heights up to four metres and wind up to force eight, which is the correct certification band for a superyacht tender or chase boat operating independently in open-water conditions.
