Lekker Boats was founded in 2013 by designer Meindert Wolfraad and builds every hull at its shipyard in Leimuiden, south of Amsterdam. The yard's brief is straightforward: handcrafted, marine-grade aluminium construction, made to order, with no outsourcing and no production-line shortcuts. The result is a range that runs from the 7.5m Damsko 750 through the Damsko 1000, the Lekker 38, the Lekker 45, and the recently added Lekker 60 - a span of roughly 25 to 60 feet, all sharing the same material philosophy and the same Dutch-open-water aesthetic.

What brings the build into superyacht-tender and chase-boat programmes is the combination of shallow draft, trimable drive options, and a top-speed ceiling that reaches 57 knots with the right engine fit. The yard offers Yanmar diesel sterndrive inboards - which trim up to minimise tow drag alongside the mothership - as well as Mercury outboard configurations for owners who want the drives fully clear of the water at sea. Layouts across the range are biased heavily towards social deck space and guest capacity, with the larger models rated for up to twenty-five passengers.

More than 230 hulls are now in service across the Netherlands, Australia, the Mediterranean, and the Americas, which gives the yard a track record that reads well on a captain's due-diligence list. We'd put the Lekker range alongside the lighter, more socially configured end of the Dutch tender market - less a pure performance platform than a day-boat that can also hold a chase-boat role when the programme calls for it.
