Novamarine BS140 Outboard

About this tender

Novamarine BS140 Outboard - what we know.

The Nova Marine BS 140 sits in the builder's established Blade Series line, a range that has built a reputation among captains for combining a performance-oriented RIB platform with a build quality suited to superyacht service. At the time of research, the manufacturer's model page was protected by a security challenge and returned no accessible specification data, which means the detail below reflects only what could be verified from publicly available sources at the time of retrieval.

We would recommend contacting Nova Marine or an authorised dealer directly for current specifications, options lists, and certification documentation before any purchase decision is made. Where specification data becomes available, this page will be updated to reflect the full researchedSpecs detail that captains and project managers require.

Questions, answered

Before you enquire.

Why is specification data limited on this page?
The Nova Marine BS 140 model page returned a security challenge during retrieval, preventing access to the manufacturer's published specifications. We only publish facts we can verify from source. We recommend contacting Nova Marine directly or requesting the current brochure and CE declaration of conformity from an authorised dealer.

The yard

Novamarine

Olbia, Italy

Novamarine is a Sardinian RIB and luxury tender builder, operational from Olbia on Italy's northeastern coast. The current company in its present corporate form dates to 2008, growing out of the SNO shipyard group led by brothers Andrea and Francesco Pirro; the broader brand lineage traces back to production in Olbia from the early 1980s. The yard builds at the SNO site in Olbia, with direct sea access, and targets the superyacht support, professional, and military markets across a range of four active lines: the flagship Black Shiver (BS) series, the HD line, the RH line, and a smaller Tender series - covering hulls from roughly 4.0m out to 24.0m.

In the superyacht context, the build we ask Novamarine for is a Black Shiver: a high-capacity RIB whose foam-filled, closed-cell tubes are engineered to be puncture-resistant and non-deflating, giving meaningful safety and stability margins over a conventional air-tube collar. Hull construction runs fiberglass with vinylester resin and Kevlar reinforcement. The BS 100 (9.98m) carries up to twenty guests at up to 47 knots; the BS 120 (12.0m) is the most requested hull for professional and military programmes; the BS 160 (17.0m) steps up to a full cabin format with multi-engine outboard or sterndrive options. The BS 220 sits at the top of the range as a self-sufficient passage-capable tender. Forty-three percent of Novamarine sales go to foreign customers, and the vessels are in service with coast guard and rescue agencies alongside private superyacht programmes - a build quality signal captains and project managers read clearly.
